Zed

Zed is a high-performance, multiplayer code editor from the creators of Atom and Tree-sitter. It is written from scratch in Rust to efficiently leverage multiple CPU cores and the GPU. The editor supports parallel AI agents that run at native speed to edit files, navigate code, and run tools. Zed enables real-time collaboration including chat, shared screen, and project sharing with teammates. It is available for macOS, Linux, and Windows. The free Personal plan offers the core editor with 2,000 accepted edit predictions and unlimited use of your own API keys or external agents. The Pro plan at $10 per month provides unlimited edit predictions and $5 of included hosted AI tokens with usage-based billing beyond that. The Business plan at $30 per seat per month adds org-wide AI model policies, data governance controls, unified spend visibility, and role-based access controls, with order forms available at 25 or more seats.
